WhatsApp link generator

Make a link that opens a chat with your business on WhatsApp, with the message already typed. Put it in your Instagram bio, on a QR code at the counter, or as a button on your website.

How to use it

  1. Enter your WhatsApp number with country code (India is 91). Digits only, no plus sign or spaces needed.

  2. Type the message you want customers to start with, such as "Hi, I want to book an appointment". Keep it short; they can edit it.

  3. Copy the link, download the QR code for print, or copy the button code for your website.

Where to use a WhatsApp link

Instagram and Facebook bios, Google Business Profile (as the website or appointment link), email signatures, the back of visiting cards as a QR, shop counters, menus, flyers and newspaper ads. Anywhere a customer might want to ask a question, a WhatsApp link turns that moment into a conversation.

wa.me versus api.whatsapp.com

Both open the same chat. wa.me is the short official form and works on phones and desktop. The api.whatsapp.com form is older and longer. This tool gives you wa.me.

Pre-filled messages that work

Write the message from the customer's side and name what they want: "Hi, I'd like a quote for a 2 BHK interior" tells you the lead's intent before you reply. Use a different message on each flyer or page and you will know where every enquiry came from.

Common questions

Is the WhatsApp link generator free?

Yes, completely. Nothing is stored; the link is built in your browser.

Does the number need to be a WhatsApp Business account?

No. Any WhatsApp number works, personal or business. A Business account adds a profile, catalogue and quick replies.

Can I track how many people click the link?

Not with a plain wa.me link. Use a different pre-filled message per placement to tell them apart, or ask us about a WhatsApp bot that logs every conversation.

Will the QR code expire?

No. The QR code contains the link itself, so it works as long as the number is on WhatsApp.

How do I add a WhatsApp button to my website?

Copy the button code from the tool and paste it into your page's HTML. If you use WordPress, Wix or Shopify, paste it into an HTML block.
